One of my in-laws' favorite weekly spots is this cozy little restaurant, and I recently joined them to see what keeps them coming back. I decided to try their beef satay (apologies if I'm not spelling it right), and I can see why it's a favorite! The dish features thinly sliced, plain beef that's cooked just right, paired with delicious thin yellow noodles. I love the simplicity of the beef, which lets the noodles and sauce shine. I like to order mine with the sauce on the side, so I can add just the right amount to suit my taste. Extra lemons are a must--they add the perfect hint of brightness to every bite! The restaurant itself has a charming "ma and pa" vibe with plenty of seating, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. Service here is always a highlight. The ladies who work here are friendly, attentive, and happy to help with questions or special requests. If you're looking for a no-fuss spot with comforting food and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a hidden gem. The beef satay with thin yellow noodles is definitely worth a try!

Growing up in the 626, Kim Ky was almost a weekly thing. Now that I'm older and with my own kid, I crave this place weekly! Unfortunately there isn't a location near me and I have to drive out to El Monte area to just eat a bowl of noodle but it always hits! The perfect way to make your sauce to compliment your bowl. Their house chile oil 60% 30% pickled jalapenos with juice 5% sriracha and 5% hoisin Soo good. And add a shit ton of red vinegar with your thick egg noodles!

My pickleball doubles friend and I decided to grab lunch nearby Ipickle Whittier narrows. The restaurant is located in an older plaza and can't be seen on street. It is Vietnamese Chinese fusion noodle shop with good variety of choices. The restaurant is traditional noodle shop and decoration is old fashioned. You only see pictures of food on wall and menu. Service is friendly as they speak Cantonese mandarin and probably Vietnamese too. My order of Fujian shrimp and pork Mei Wong is mixture of two types of noodles in soup. It tastes good. The house noodle looks good too, but I will try it next time. The iced coffee is sweet and strong enough. It's not the best, but good enough in a noodle shop. Parking maybe limited, so plan your visit.

Kim Kee Noodle Place is a reliable choice for great food. I grew up around the area, and my dad used to take me and my brother here. It's one of those places that always feels like home.

My go to location for this restaurant chain. I prefer this location over the Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Rosemead, or even the Westminster location down in OC because of the easier parking situation along with the seating situation as it's more comfortable & not cramped. Staffs are really quick from the time you order to when the food comes out even when they're swamped & all the times I've come here, never have they messed up my orders. It is generally pretty quiet but when it's swamped it can get pretty noisy but that's normal. Only gripe with the place is if you go around 2PM or later, they'd be prepping for closing so some staff will be mopping, putting chairs on tables, refilling the sauces towards the front so it's hard to get ahold of someone if you need something. Also, the smell of bleach while you're still eating is unnecessary. But if you go any time before 2PM, you have nothing to worry about except the wait, especially on the weekend.

As a man with bad knees and bad back, I have many weaknesses. Among them is the dry house special noodle here with egg noodles with their chili sauce... The texture of the egg noodles, the kick from the chili sauce...jeez louis This place is definitely worth a try

Your average comforting Chinese noodle soup restaurant (with influences from surrounding Asian countries). Not the cleanest or most organized, but it hits the spot when you're craving something quick, average and filling. Their menu offers a wide variety plus your selection in types of noodles. Prices are affordable and the noodle soup is perfect after any late night partying recovery food you may need the next day. I really love these noodle restaurants that offer different variety of noodles! With rice and egg noodles and in different shapes and sizes! Note that there are several Kim Ky's or Kim Kee's in the area that are very similar.

*FOOD QUALITY* Overall: With a meal for two costing ~$28 ($35 with tip), the value and quality of the food was decent! The speciality of this place is the authentic-ness of their Vietnamese and Chinese dishes and the variety they offer (4 types of noodles in egg or rice variety, large menu). Each order was satisfying in serving size, and I felt quite full. My friend who comes from a Viet/Chinese background said the food reminded them of home and of LolliBowl, so overall a compliment! - (09) Ribs in Black Bean Sauce w/ Egg Noodles: The black bean sauce is heavy and takes most of the flavor in the soup, which is a clean broth not too rich, and the egg noodles were a nice bouncy texture. The pork ribs were mostly tender (even the tendons) but there were 1-4 that required some hard work chewing to get down. - (01) Assorted Meat & Shrimp w/ Thick Rice Noodle: The soup has a clean, light flavor, and the assortment of fish balls, tempura, shrimp, liver, etc. was a delight. The rice noodles were cooked well and the overall noodle dish delivered! *CUSTOMER SERVICE* Upon entering, the server was prompt in laying down food mats (which are just big paper advertisements lol) and menus, as well as offering hot or iced tea. She quickly took our orders with a direct manner and less than 10 minutes later, our food arrived - super quick! *AMBIANCE* The restaurant is a casual spot, run-down from time as the booths were a little sticky and the lighting is yellow. Plentiful seats when you turn left upon entering and you have the option to pay at the counter. At the time of this review, we were able to pay via card (so it's not cash-only)! This joint is located at the corner and end of the plaza when you turn in. There decent parking, with more space in the back!
